If you’d like to know more about the sector in general or the culture of an individual organisation, we'd encourage you to spend time in that organisation or at a general sector event. You can do this in a number of ways:

• Attend special events held by organisations, such as Annual General Meetings.
• Attend a careers evening, expo or information session.
• Read newsletters and annual reports from organisations in the sector.

carecareers encourages hiring organisations to hold introductory events for potential candidates to give them the chance to get a feel for what it’s like to work for them, so be sure to check for such events with any organisations you are interested in joining.
